We've had some set backs over the last couple of months...mostly all financially related. However, it looks like the clouds are parting a little bit for us, and you can count on THREE releases coming out this Fall, including a 7" record  !!!! cross your fingers and maybe it'll get done faster.

In the meantime, stew on some tracks from our latest act, The Shiner Box. We never thought we'd go country here at brainplan, but never say never. This isn't your average george strait sounding stuff.

Release Update May 2011

Dr. Eville Town-- looks like the Doctor will have a limited edition white cassette release in a quantity of about 50 out within the next two months. Tentatively entitled "imnotabadperson" inspired by the photo above taken by J. Robertson. We'll post some sound samples for you in the next week or so. PRE-ORDERS can be directed here

Yea Plus Ultra-- due to some technological issues, this release has been set back a bit. We hope to have this out by the Fall. In the meantime, you can check out the myspace for some sound teasers.

Dr. Eville Town will be doing a couple of things for us:

• one-- production work on Yea plus Ultra debut (it's coming it's coming )

• two-- new cassette released in May/June of 2011

• three-- a secret show in Bushwick on March 27th....time/place TBA

little blurb: Dr. Eville Town is pretty much a badass. the Dr. makes beats for rappers, works with country group the shiner box, and pretty much does whatever the hell the doctor wants. The stuff coming out of eville town is sometimes thrash, and sometimes just plain sad. If your taste is garbage, you'll love everything the Dr. prescribes. 

I don't know about the rest of you people, but I am looking forward to this. I have seen the Dr. live once, and you should all believe the hype.

we are super excited about the amazing art work Vitor Teixeira has done for car phyte. Check out his amazing site by clicking on his name. For those of you familiar with his "shit happens" moto, you can appreciate the work. He also has another cool store here.
